Beijing Aero-top aids digital transformation of gas industry

Beijing Aero-top Hi-tech has released China's first open-source Hongmeng-based smart product and solution for the gas industry, "RanHong".

The product, which was developed in collaboration with Beijing Beikong Intelligent City Science and Technology Development and Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development, aims to provide controlled gas safety and intelligent decision-making.

"How does the gas industry achieve the Internet of Everything under the support of Hongmeng technology?" asked Jin Zhijun, deputy general manager of the Smart Energy Division at Aero-top, which is based in Beijing E-Town.

The RanHong solution, based on the RanHong OS, integrates Hongmeng-based sensing devices, network equipment, edge computing devices, the RanHong DAIoT platform, industry applications and necessary information technology innovation environments.

It establishes a fully self-controlled, digital, intelligent, end-edge-cloud integrated ecosystem solution for the gas industry.

Through scenario demonstrations, the intelligent station products based on RanHong further showcased the safety and intelligence aspects of the solution, "Opening the gas valve, please pay attention to the current network status; the alarm signal has been activated, and the RanHong system will automatically eliminate safety hazards for us..."

During the demonstration, five key functions were directly presented: touch interaction, simulated pipeline burst (pressure drop rate) alarm linkage, fire alarm linkage, flexible station interconnection and drone emergency networking.

Touch interaction primarily uses the RanHong tablet via Near Field Communication to interact with on-site Hongmeng-based devices, applicable in asset management and equipment maintenance.

The simulated pipeline burst and fire linkage demonstrate the autonomous closed-loop capability of the RanHong system by operating valves and simulating on-site incidents.

The drone emergency networking simulates the failure of station edge controllers and disaster incidents, with drones equipped with the RanHong system taking over communication and control of the station in emergencies.
