It is a State-owned investment corporation for scientific and technological innovation and industrial transformations and improvement in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA). As of the end of June 2023, the company's total assets exceeded 111.7 billion yuan ($15.30 billion), and the total owner's equity amounted to nearly 79.5 billion yuan.

Its main subsidiaries include Beijing E-Town International Industrial Investment Management Co Ltd, Beijing E-Town International Automobile Investment Management Co Ltd, E-Town International Holding (Hong Kong) Co Ltd, Beijing E-Town International Financing Guarantee Co Ltd, Beijing E-Town International Financing Leasing Co Ltd and Beijing Tongming Lake IT City.

E-Town Capital closely focuses on the objectives of "Being an innovative service provider in industrial finance, science and technology parks and capital operations", and places a strong emphasis on the leading industries of new-generation information technology, biotechnology and big health, new energy smart vehicles, robotic and intelligent manufacturing.
