YNU students recognized at national cryptography competition

Yunnan University (YNU) was recently recognized at the 4th National Cryptography and Mathematics Competition for College Students.
The competition was launched by a Ministry of Education advisory committee specializing in mathematics in January. It involved 253 teams from 70 colleges.
YNU sent four teams to participate in the event, all four of which made it to the finals after six months of competition. The teams won a total of five awards.
The National Cryptography and Mathematics Competition for College Students, launched by Zheng Zhiming, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), has been held for the past for the past four years and has involved nearly a thousand students from around 100 colleges.
YNU has sent a total of 22 teams to participate in the event, 13 of which have earned awards.
