YNU holds forum on folk culture with South Korean university

The School of Liberal Arts of YNU held the 2nd Forum on Folk Culture and Literature of East Asia from Aug 20 to 25 in partnership with the Institute of Chinese Studies of Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
More than 20 scholars from YNU, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Taiwan Dong Hwa University, Yonsei University, Seoul National University, Ohio State University, and Tohoku University, attended the forum. They delivered reports themed around folk culture, oral literature, and more.
Attendees also visited the Korean Folk Village and South Korean National Folklore Museum.
The Forum on Folk Culture and Literature of East Asia was co-launched by YNU and Yonsei University. It was first held in August 2017 at YNU.
The forum gave scholars a chance to discuss folk culture and literature in East Asia and enhanced cooperation between YNU and Yonsei University.
The 3rd Forum on Folk Culture and Literature of East Asia will be held at YNU.
