Yunnan University (YNU) teacher Xiong Gang from the university’s School of Physical Education won second place in the National Paragliding Competition, which took place in Jiangyin, Jiangsu province, from July 23 to 26.

Associate Professor Xiong is a seasoned paraglider who has taken part in a number of international and national paragliding events. At this event, he competed against more than 60 people from across China. 

Earlier in June, Xiong helped the Chinese team win the FAI Paragliding Accuracy World Cup, which was held in Taldy Kurgan, Kazakhstan.
