President of Lanzhou University visits Yunnan University

Yan Chunhua, president of Lanzhou University (LZU), visited Yunnan University (YNU) on Aug 7 along with other LZU delegates to discuss cooperation between the two universities.
Lin Wenxun, party secretary of YNU, briefed attendees on the development of YNU over the past few years and thanked the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China for deciding that LZU would help develop YNU. He praised LZU’s long history and expressed hope for further cooperation between the two universities.
Yan Chunhua, president of LZU, pointed out that LZU and YNU shared a similar development trajectory and are both working to carry out the “Double First-Class” Initiative.
He hoped that, in the future, LZU and YNU would cooperate in many fields, improve their expertise in the sciences and humanities, accelerate their transformation into “Double First-Class” universities, and contribute to the economic development of Gansu and Yunnan.
Delegates from the two universities later discussed the details of their cooperation.
