Yunnan University teams with CAS to train professionals

Yunnan University (YNU) signed an agreement on July 9 with the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) to train professionals in geophysics on the university’s Donglu campus.

Yang Zeyu, vice-president of YNU, Luo Zhiqiang, dean of the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology, and a number of other representatives attended the signing ceremony. 

During the event, Yang thanked the CAS and the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology for their long-term support for the university. 

He said that the training program would help cultivate skilled geophysics workers and provide a boost to YNU’s Double First-rate Program. 

Luo briefed attendees on the current situation of the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology and made some suggestions on future cooperation between the two sides. 

Yang and Luo signed the strategic partnership agreement, which requires both parties to send high-level experts to train students involved in the program.
