A seven-member delegation from the School of Medicine at Yunnan University (YNU) visited Lushi town, Fenqing county, Yunnan province, from June 15 to 18 to offer medical assistance to locals. The move was part of the university’s poverty-alleviation program.

The delegation was led by Su Guoming, vice-dean of the School of Medicine at YNU.

On the morning of June 15, the delegation visited the Lushi Central Clinic, where they provided guidance to medical workers.

That afternoon, Yang Yongkui and Yang Qianli, two members of the delegation, remotely delivered lectures to medical workers in 17 villages throughout Lushi town.

In their lectures, they discussed how to prevent and control some infectious diseases, particularly tuberculosis.

From June 16 to 18, the delegation visited Jinma, Lujiashan, and Baohua villages to provide medical assistance for locals and help train local medical workers.

Thirty-six local medical works participated in the training and 361 patients received treatment.
