A Yunnan University (YNU) alumni member established a fund to help nurture entrepreneurship and innovation at YNU at a donation ceremony held at YNU’s Chenggong campus on June 28.

The donation ceremony was attended by Lin Wenxun, Party secretary of YNU; Li Jianyu, deputy Party secretary of YNU; Liu Xiaojiang, vice-president of YNU, and other representatives.
During the ceremony, Lin delivered a speech in which he extended thanks to Guo and other YNU alumni for their long-term support for YNU.
From a scholar to an entrepreneur, Guo has always strived to fully deliver his values, Lin added.
Lin noted that the 200,000 YNU alumni members, who all made great contributions to society, are the pride of YNU.
Guo recounted his school years and his process of starting a business. He said that the fund aimed at supporting YNU students who triumphed at innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and promoting the application of valuable scientific achievements.
Following their speeches, Guo and Liu signed a letter of intent.
According to the letter of intent, Yunnan BTN Biotechnology Group will donate 500,000 yuan ($72,833) to YNU to support the development of scientific innovation at YNU. After the signing ceremony, Guo delivered a lecture on tactics to improve our health.
