YNU hosts training program on social work in rural community

The training program on social work in rural community hosted by the School of Ethnology and Social Sciences at Yunnan University (YNU) opened on June 25.

The program was sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources and Security, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. 

Yi Fang, deputy director of the Department for Promotion of Welfare Services and Social Work of the Ministry of Civil Affairs; Xiong Mei, deputy director of Yunnan Department of Civil Affairs, and Yang Zeyu, vice-president of YNU, attended the opening ceremony of the training program. 

The program had a total of 68 participants from 22 provinces, autonomous regions and cities.

Yang and Xiong delivered welcome speeches at the opening ceremony. During the program, professors from YNU, Sun Yat-Sen University and Sichuan Agricultural University will deliver lectures on social work in rural areas to the attendees.
