A biological finding by a research team from Yunnan University (YNU) was published online in Nature Communications on June 13.

The discovery was attributed to a research team of YNU’s State Key Laboratory for the Conservation and Utilization of Bio-Resources in Yunnan. It was led by Professor Zhang Keqin and Researcher Zou Chenggang.

Their research paper was entitled “Adiponectin receptor PAQR-2 signaling senses low temperature to promote C. elegans longevity by regulating autophagy”.

YNU’s State Key Laboratory for the Conservation and Utilization of Bio-Resources in Yunnan was co-founded by the Ministry of Education and Yunnan education authorities.

Chen Yuanli and Tao Jun, both doctoral candidates studying at the laboratory, were the primary authors of the paper, while Professor Zhang and Researcher Zou were corresponding authors.

The research project received financial support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education – Yunnan University Fund.
