北京市人大常委会表示，北京市将推动学校、医院等公共机构以及商业办公楼宇、旅游景区、酒店等经营性场所垃圾强制分类逐步全覆盖。
Beijing will introduce mandatory garbage classification rules at schools, hospitals, office buildings, tourist attractions and hotels, according to the Standing Committee of Beijing Municipal People's Congress, the local legislature.

北京市探索形成了四种垃圾分类投放模式：一是建立有人值守的垃圾分类驿站，兼具垃圾称重计量和积分奖励功能，方便有意愿的居民参与垃圾分类；二是采用撤桶撤站方式，实行定时定点流动收集，最大限度实现垃圾回收不落地；三是采用上门或定点回收再生资源、厨余垃圾等方式，最大限度地方便群众分类、提高回收量；四是在部分有条件的小区设置垃圾分类智能投放箱，减少人工成本，扩展垃圾分类服务范围。
