YNU continues with poverty-relief efforts

A five-member delegation from Yunnan University (YNU) visited Hebian village, Fengqin county, Yunnan province, from May 17 to 20 as part of another round of efforts from the university’s poverty-relief program.
The delegation, led by Zhang Li, vice-president of YNU, visited a number of poverty-relief projects and a tea-making company in the village.
After the visit, the delegation held a meeting with village officials to discuss future plans to develop the village.
During the meeting, Zhang urged YNU employees who were sent to work in the village to help with local poverty-relief efforts and strive for tangible results.
The delegation then visited Yunlong county to take part in a donation ceremony. Zhang, who represented YNU, donated computers to the Yunlong county government.
