Yunnan University hosts ACCA job hunting competition

Yunnan University (YNU) and the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) hosted the ACCA Forum and ACCA 2019 Job Hunting Competition at YNU on April 27.
The ACCA Forum, presided over by Tan Yingmin, ACCA’s senior business relations manager, focused on financial opportunities generated by the digital revolution. During the forum, company executives shared their insights into financial operations.
Liang Shuanglu, dean of YNU’s School of Economics, attended the forum and welcomed all guests. He then briefed attendees on the general situation of the School of Economics and its achievements in digital economy research.
Tan delivered a report on the influence of digitalization on business finance, while Yan Zhiwei, deputy director of the innovation service department of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, aired his views on the influence of digitalization on business finance and important skills college students should develop.
Wang Mingkai, vice-president of ZTEHoldings New Cloud, highlighted the importance of building an independent financial operation system for a company. He also shared his views on the principles of operating a company.
Wang Yongchao, CEO of Seller Growth, analyzed the trajectory and prospects for e-commerce in his report.
A variety of other business executives shared their views as well.
The ACCA 2019 Job Hunting Competition took place on the afternoon of April 27. Li Juan, Party secretary of the School of Economics, delivered some opening remarks to welcome all company and university contestants.
The 24 participants were divided into six groups for three rounds of a leaderless group debate. Each contestant was required to introduce themselves in English in less than 30 seconds before participating in the debate.
The YNU contestants made it to the final round of the Guangzhou Session of the ACCA 2019 Job Hunting Competition on May 10.
