A delegation from the hospital affiliated with Yunnan University (YNU) visited Lushi town, Fengqin county, Yunnan province, from April 12 to 15 to provide training for local doctors and medical services for locals as part of the university’s poverty-relief program.
On April 12, the delegation, led by Zhao Yan, dean of the hospital, visited the Lushi Central Clinic, where they delivered a lecture to medical workers from 17 villages throughout the town via a remote medical education system. The new system was developed as part of the university’s poverty-alleviation program.
Over the next few days, the delegation visited Yongfa, Tuanjie, and Xiniu villages to provide free medical services to locals. A total of 297 villagers received care from the delegation.
The delegation members provided some training to paramedics who were sent by the Lushi Central Clinic to escort them. They also offered counseling services to locals.
