Yunnan University holds job fair to attract young talent

The second Yunnan University (YNU) Donglu Forum and Job Fair for Young Scholars was held at the university’s Chenggong campus from April 20 to 21.
A total of 119 young scholars from renowned universities and institutes attended the forum to discuss academics and improve academic exchanges.
Lin Wenxun, president of YNU, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony on April 20 in which he outlined YNU’s history and plans for introducing professionals.
Lin pledged to adopt more favorable policies and provide better services to attract more young talent to YNU.
Zhao Qihua, vice-president of YNU, presided over the ceremony. Chen Ye, a representative from the Yunnan Provincial Department of Organization, gave a briefing on Yunnan’s policies on attracting talent.
Professor Hu Wanbiao shared with attendees his experience working and living at YNU on behalf of young scholars coming to work at the university.
Following the opening ceremony, participants of the forum toured the YNU campus.
The two-day event consisted of various forums, at which attendees held discussions on a variety of different research fields.
YNU held the first Donglu Forum and Job Fair for Young Scholars last year, which resulted in more than 40 young talented scholars joining YNU.
