Top geochemist visits Yunnan University

Zhang Hongfu, a renowned lithogeochemistry expert from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited Yunnan University (YNU) from April 2 to 3.

Yang Lin, Party secretary of YNU, Zhang Li, vice-president of YNU, and a number of other YNU representatives met with Zhang. 

Zhang listened to a report delivered by YNU representatives on the development of geosciences at the university, visited the site where the Chengjiang biogreoup fossils were unearthed, toured the YNU campus, visited the Institute for the Belt and Road, and planted a pine tree in the “Academic Forest”, where visiting scholars to YNU traditionally plant a tree.
