YNU national project formally recognized
A national project conducted by a team led by a Yunnan University (YNU) professor was recently formally recognized in an evaluation, according to a recent announcement by the National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences.
The evaluation was meant for national projects that received financial support from the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) and that concluded in March.
The project, which focuses on researching “Dutch diseases” in tourism areas, was conducted by a team led by Yang Yi, an associate professor at the School of Business and Tourism Management at YNU. It received an “A” grade during the evaluation.
A total of 363 projects were reviewed, only 34 of which received an “A” grade.
This is YNU’s seventh NSSFC project, and the first one carried out by university’s School of Business and Tourism Management, to receive the honor.
The average age of the members of the winning research team is under 30.
This achievement demonstrates the importance of YNU’s research on tourism economics.
