YNU school-enterprise collaboration honored

Yunnan University (YNU)’s efforts at promoting school-enterprise cooperation were recognized at the 2019 annual meeting of a Chinese Higher Education Society organization responsible for researching partnerships between education and the private sector, at Tsinghua University in Beijing, on Jan 11.
A YNU report on the training of engineers in partnership with businesses was included in a collection of similar reports, with the university’s efforts highlighted as an example for others to follow.
Hao Qingjie, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Higher Education Society, awarded a certificate to Yang Yunchuan, a representative working at YNU careers service.
At the meeting, Yang Ziyu, YNU’s vice-president, was elected as a council member of the branch institute.
The meeting also witnessed a signing ceremony between Professor Yang Liuqing from YNU’s School of Software and representatives from Shanghai Oracle OAEC, with an agreement made on cooperation in training and employment, as well as deals to build new joint platforms, including a cloud education center, big data training center, regional research center, and business incubation center.
