YNU teachers honored for contribution to cultural industries

A pair of teachers from the Institute for Cultural Development of Yunnan University (YNU) were recognized with awards for their academic contributions to the development of China’s cultural industries at the first Zijin Forum on Cultural Industry, at Nanjing University of the Arts, on Dec 8. 

The Zijin Forum on Cultural Industry, which also marked the 2018 annual meeting for the Management Committee for China’s Cultural Industry, was sponsored by Jiangsu Publicity Department and China Society of Artistic Theories, and was held by Nanjing University of the Arts, Zijin Institute for Cultural Innovation and the Management Committee for China’s Cultural Industry. 

At the opening ceremony of the forum, professors Li Yan and Fan Jianhua were voted the winners of an award celebrating academic contributions over the past 20 years to China’s cultural industries. 

In addition, Tao Fangfang, a graduate student of the class of 2016 at YNU’s Institute for Cultural Development, was also nominated for the Winfast Cultural Industry Scholarship. 

The Winfast Cultural Industry Scholarship, established in 2001, is the first scholarship designed for college students studying cultural industry-related majors. Initiated by Nanjing University of the Arts, the scholarship was funded by Jiangsu Winfast Holding, and the winners of the scholarship are determined by the Management Committee for China’s Cultural Industry.
