Kunming mapping firm finances scholarship at YNU

A signing ceremony marking the establishment of the new Maipu Scholarship was held at the School of Resources, Environment and Geosciences of Yunnan University (YNU), on Nov 27. 

The event was attended by Lin Wenxun, president of YNU; Feng Yao, chairman of Kunming Maipu Supervising and Mapping Technology Co, and other representatives from both sides. 

The new scholarship is being funded by Kunming Maipu Supervising and Mapping Technology Co with the aim of awarding outstanding and hardworking students at YNU who major in geographical sciences. 

YNU President Lin Wenxun delivered a speech at the signing ceremony, in which he expressed his thanks to the company. He also expressed his intention to enhance cooperation with the firm. 

Lin went on to urge winners of the Maipu Scholarship to work hard, improve their skills and make a valuable contribution to the country. 

Feng Yao also delivered a speech at the ceremony, in which he stressed that the driving force for the company’s development is skilled workers. He mentioned that the reasons behind setting up the scholarship were to encourage students to work hard and dedicate themselves to the surveying and mapping industry. 

He expressed his hopes that the partnership between the two sides would be developed in more areas.
