Yunnan University (YNU) students got an opportunity to talk to YNU’s President Lin Wenxun “face to face”, at YNU, on Nov 30.

The event, organized by the university’s students’ affairs office, received the attendance of nearly 70 students.

At the event, Lin shared his learning experiences with the attendees. He said that a discipline or a major has a boundary while someone’s mindset can go beyond limits.

What’s more important than gaining knowledge is cultivating thinking abilities, he said.

Lin also expressed his hopes that all students should develop a reading habit, be good at transforming the knowledge into capabilities and learn to communicate with others.

In the question and answer session, Lin answered questions proposed by some of the attendees.

The “face to face” serialized activities are designed to provide opportunities for students to have a face-to-face talk with prominent professors and teachers.
