YNU research reveals origin and population history of golden snub-nosed monkey

A recent finding by a Yunnan University (YNU) research team and a team from the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) revealed the origin and population history of the golden snub-nosed monkey.

Titled The origin and population history of the endangered golden snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus roxellana), the paper was published in Molecular Biology and Evolution, a world-renowned journal in the area of evolutionary biology.

The researcher Yu Li is the corresponding author of the paper, and Kuang Weimin is the first author of the paper. The research was financially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
