YNU professor’s book gets English-language edition

A ceremony to launch the English version of a book by Professor Zhuang Kongshao, a scholar at Yunnan University (YNU), was held in Beijing, on Nov 12.
The book launch was held by the anthropology department at the University of Southern California, the institute of anthropology at Renmin University of China, the School of Ethnology and Sociology at YNU and the institute of anthropology at Zhejiang University.
Zhuang Kongshao is the top expert in socio-cultural anthropology at YNU, and his new book Silver Wings describes the social and cultural changes in regions across China from the 1920s to 1980s.
Some 40 scholars including Professor Jing Jun from Tsinghua University; Professor Zhao Xudong from Renmin University of China; Professor Gary Seaman from the University of Southern California; professors Guillaume Dutournier and Patrice Fava from École française d'Extrême-Orient, and other representatives attended the ceremony to show their support for Zhuang’s work.
