International culture festival opens at Yunnan University

The third Yunnan University (YNU) International Cultural Festival opened at the university’s Donglu campus, on Nov 14.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the consulate-generals of Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Malaysia; Li Jianyu, deputy Party secretary of YNU, and teachers and students from the university’s International School.
Li delivered a speech and announced the opening of the festival.
The event, which lasted from Nov 14 to 16, included an opening ceremony, an exhibition of different countries’ cultures, an artistic performance, and a closing ceremony.
Students from 20 different countries, including China, France, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and India, explained their unique customs and traditions, capturing the attention of the assembled audience.
