A research finding by Yunnan University (YNU) recently made the cover of Environmental Science: Nano, a famous journal affiliated with the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Titled Metabolic profiling of silver nanoparticle toxicity in Microcystis aeruginosa, the paper reveals how nano-silver, a type of nano-material, impacts the metabolite of aquatic organisms.

The first two authors of the paper completed postgraduate study at YNU –– Zhang Jilai and Zhou Zhipeng, and the corresponding authors of the paper were Professor Chang Xuexiu and Deputy Researcher Chen Liqiang.

Their research received funding from the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and a provincial fund aimed to encourage young and middle-aged scholars.
