Yunnan University (YNU) students secured six awards at the China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition in 2018, which recently concluded at Zhejiang University.

The competition was hosted by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, China Association for Science and Technology, the National Students’ Federation, and Zhejiang Provincial People's Government.

The six pieces of works submitted to the contest by YNU contestants were recognized with one silver medal and five bronze medals.

Since the competition was launched in March, the organizing committee has received more than 150,000 entries from 2,200 universities and colleges, involving over 1 million students.

The YNU works making their way to the finals cover the areas of botanical studies, poverty alleviation, the building of a travel management platform, and a business startup program.

YNU itself was honored for organizing students to take part in the contest.
