A research finding in chemical sciences by a team at the School of Chemical Engineering of Yunnan University (YNU) was recently honored by being published on Journal of Catalysis, a prestigious international journal.

The first author of the paper titled Ru/MnXCe1OY catalysts with enhanced oxygen mobility and strong metal-support interaction: Exceptional performances in 5-hydroxymethylfurfural base-free aerobic oxidation is Gao Tianyu, a masters degree student, and the corresponding author is his supervisor Fang Wenhao, associate professor of the chemical school.

Journal of Catalysis is one of the world’s most influential journals in the field of physical chemistry and engineering. It is dedicated to publishing original, significant and systematic research findings in the area of catalyst.

The research project is subsidized by several programs, including the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the special funds for introducing high-level professionals sponsored by national fiscal department.
