Yunnan University professors make international journal

A paper co-authored by Zhang Xiguang and Yang Jie, both scholars at the Laboratory of Paleontology of Yunnan University (YNU) as well as Javier Ortega-Hernández from the University of Cambridge made it into the magazine Current Biology, which is affiliated with Cell, a publication and a publishing group in the United States, on July 9. 

The paper, titled Fuxianhuiids, is a summary of their findings on prehistoric life made by professors Zhang and Xi in recent years. In 2013, their findings on the species were included in Nature; in 2016, their findings made it into the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and at the beginning of the year, their paper on fuxianhuiids was recognized by being included in Communication, a journal affiliated with Nature.
