Xi Zhenfeng, a chemist and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), was invited to lecture at the Donglu High-level Academic Forum, on June 29.

In Professor Xi’s lecture, he said that bimetallic reagent was different to traditional organometallic reagent in terms of the reaction mechanism.

He highlighted the idea of “synergistic effect”, which he believes is not only applicable in chemical experiment but also in our daily practice. His integration of scientific concepts and life philosophy impressed the attendees.

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of a deep-going attitude and innovation in scientific research.

During the forum, YNU Vice-President Wang Jianhua awarded a letter of appointment to him, employing him as an honorary professor of YNU.
