A graduation ceremony was held at Yunnan University (YNU), on June 21.

The event was attended by Yang Lin, Party secretary of YNU; Lin Wenxun, president of YNU, other leaders of the university, faculty members, and around 6,900 students due to graduate from the university. 

President Lin Wenxun, speaking at the ceremony, expressed his hopes that every student of the class of 2018 would continue to identify as “members of the YNU community”. He encouraged graduates to dare to purse their greatest dreams, and to overcome obstacles in their path. 

“Cherish the love for your country, harbor reverence for knowledge, be brave in the face of difficulties and challenges, and work hard in a down-to-earth manner,” Lin said, in a speech that was well received by the crowd. 

A list of names recognized as the most outstanding graduates of the university were also announced during the ceremony.
