A significant paleontology finding by a Yunnan University (YNU) research team led by Bi Shundong, a professor at the Yunnan Paleontology Research Laboratory of YNU, made it onto the prestigious journal Nature on June 13.

The team found the most well-preserved mammal fossil of the ambolestes so far, and revealed that the marsupial may not originate from Asia.
