A delegation led by Yan Gang, Party secretary of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies at Yunnan University (YNU), visited Hebian village, Fengqing county, Yunnan province, to continue with poverty alleviation efforts, from May 19 to 21.

The delegation used 3,000 yuan ($467) donated by six leaders from both the School of Professional and Continuing Studies and the School of Lijiang River Tourism Culture to buy some supplies as gifts for local residents on low incomes.

The representatives from the School of Lijiang River Tourism Culture held a discussion with officials on how best to develop the local tourism industry, while offering some of their own constructive suggestions.

In order to save on commuting costs, the delegation decided to take a bus between the university and their destination.
