YNU professor’s paper published by national newspaper

A paper by Zhou Hong, professor at the School of Life Sciences of Yunnan University (YNU), has recently made it onto the pages of Guangming Daily, a national newspaper administered by the Central Publicity Department.

Professor Zhou is renowned as a pioneer in the field of ecological studies across the country. He is the author of more than 15 monographs, 90 papers and 200 essays. 

The professor won the Earth Award in 2000, the highest honor in China for individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to ecological protection.

Though he retired from his position four years ago, he remains devoted to academic research and has since published three monographs. 

In July 2013, he was awarded the right to enjoy special subsidies granted by Yunnan Provincial Government. In 2015, he was appointed as a member of a Chinese think tank for ecological preservation.
