Yunnan University (YNU) signed an agreement with the Yunnan branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) to further promote the partnership between the two sides, at a meeting held on May 15.

Yang Lin, president of YNU; Zhou Jie, vice-dean of the Yunnan branch of CAS, and representatives from Kunming Institute of Botany, Kunming Institute of Zoology, Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanic Garden, and Yunnan Astronomical Observatory attended the meeting.

Yang extended his thanks to the Yunnan branch of CAS, saying their support is of great significance in helping YNU become a world-class university with world-class disciplines.

He expressed his wishes to deepen their partnership in more fields.

Zhou extended his congratulations to YNU on being placed on the list of the Double First-rate Program, and shared some of his views on enhancing cooperation between the two sides.

At the end of meeting, the representatives from the two parties signed a cooperative agreement.
