YNU delegation visits Nepal

A delegation led by Zhang Li, vice-president of Yunnan University (YNU), visited Nepal and attended a conference titled “International Conference on Mountain Development in a Context of Global Change with Special Focus on the Himalayas”, which was held by Tribhuvan University and the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), from April 21 to 25.
At the conference, YNU signed a memorandum of understanding with the two sides and agreed to join forces to build the China-Nepal Joint Research Center on Geography, which will be used as a cross-border platform by all three sides to conduct geographical research in the Himalayas area.
During their stay in Nepal, the delegation also visited the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), China’s embassy in Nepal and the China Study Center of Nepal, with the goal of improving cooperation with all parties.
