Yunnan University (YNU) held an opening ceremony for a work station of Wang Chongyu, an academician at Chinese Academy of Sciences and a research center of material genetic engineering on April 26.

The work station and research center are multi-subject innovation platforms for frontier studies on material genetic engineering, and it plays a significant role in building a world-class university with world-class disciplines.

At the ceremony, Wang was appointed as an honorary professor of YNU and a member of the consultative committee of precious metals material genetic engineering projects of Yunnan province. He also gave a lecture on innovation of materials and design of alloy.
