A 23-member delegation from the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) visited Yunnan University (YNU) for a cultural exchange, in early April.
A series of activities were organized by YNU for the delegation to learn about traditional Chinese culture, the traditional culture of ethnic groups in Yunnan province, the current situation of Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province, and the history and development of YNU, during their 10-day stay.
The delegation’s visit also helped bring about an agreement that the number of exchange students from YNU sent to UNIMAS in August could be double that of last year.
YNU plans to enhance exchanges with other foreign universities, especially with those from Southeast Asia, as the university has proposed the idea of constructing a Belt and Road intercultural exchange mechanism.
