Yunnan University (YNU) held a ceremony, marking the beginning of a series of activities to encourage reading among students, at the university’s library on World Reading Day, which falls on April 23.
The activities to be held include a composition competition on historical figures, a book club involving fans of Jin Yong –– a household writer in China who depicts a thrilling kung fu world where ancient knights and marital heroes fight for their fame and power –– and a recital of Chinese literary classics.
