YNU research finding honored in world’s top journal
A research finding marking a breakthrough in the field of new energy materials by researchers at Yunnan University (YNU) was recently published by Advanced Functional Materials, a prestigious international journal.
The finding was mainly the work of a research team led by Professor Guo Hong at YNU, and a team led by Professor Sun Xueliang at Western University in Canada.
The research project is supported by the Natural Science Fund of China (NSFC) and the National Key Basic Research Program.
Titled Few-Layer MoSe2 Nanosheets with Expanded (002) Planes in Hollow Carbon Nanospheres for Ultrahigh-Performance Na-Ion Batteries, the finding reveals that MoSe2, as an electrode material, has better prospects for being applied in the research and development of Na-Ion Batteries than MoS2.
