A group of representatives from China Earthquake Administration (CEA) visited Yunnan University (YNU) to discuss a partnership, on March 9.

Zhao Qihua, assistant to the president and dean of the Graduate School at YNU, met with the group led by Yang Xinping, deputy inspector of the Department of Personnel and Education at CEA.

During the meeting, Zhao briefed the visitors about the achievements YNU had made in recent years.

She also expressed her hopes that both sides would deepen cooperation in personnel training, scientific research and in introducing skilled workers.

Yang said that both parties had a solid foundation for cooperation. YNU has trained many workers for CEA.

He also said that the Department of Personnel and Education at CEA was willing to serve as a bond between CEA and YNU to enhance cooperation, and help propel YNU to become a world-class university, which is also a requirement of the country’s Double First-rate Program — first-rate universities and first-rate disciplines.

Representatives from the Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Scientific and Technology Administration, and the School of Geosciences at YNU, also attended the meeting.
