Yunnan University (YNU) held its first forum on promoting Yunnan’s logistics industry, in partnership with Yunnan Department of Commerce, on Dec 16, 2017.

Themed “enhancing cooperation between the government, companies and universities to promote the logistics industry”, the forum attracted nearly 200 representatives from universities and companies.

Zhang Hongxia, deputy director-general of Yunnan Department of Commerce, and Zhang Li, vice-president of YNU, delivered welcome speeches.

After the first part, several experts in logistics were invited to deliver keynote speeches, sharing with the audience their views on developing the industry.

Then came the final part of the round table discussion where attendees exchanged their views on accelerating the development of modern logistics and building a regional logistics system.

During the forum, a cooperative deal was signed among the organizations attending the forum. According to the agreement, parties involved in the deal will enhance cooperation between the government, companies and universities, and jointly promote the development of the province’s logistics industry.

Attendees also proposed holding similar forums in the future.
