YNU gets three new provincial laboratories
Yunnan University (YNU) has added three new provincial-level laboratories, bringing the total number of key provincial laboratories to 10, according to a list recently published by Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Department.
The list revealed that YNU had added the most provincial-level key laboratories on this occasion.
The three new recognized laboratories are to be used for studies on environmental restoration in highland areas, transformation and application of national products, and quantum information –– covering ecology, environmental sciences, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, physics, informatics and materials sciences.
The past year saw remarkable achievements by YNU in building technological platforms. It has built research centers for studies on ecological restoration of highland lakes and waters, perennial crops, prevention and control of pests, and organic evolution. Currently, it is building an international collaborative laboratory in partnership with universities in Southeast Asia.
