YNU wins provincial sign language contest

Yunnan University's sign language was awarded first prize at the 8th Yunnan provincial university and college sign language contest on Nov 19, 2017. 

The activity, co-organized by Yunnan Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Yunnan University's Communist Youth League Committee, aims to arouse public awareness towards caring and helping the deaf.

The 8th Yunnan provincial university and college sign language contest is held at Yunnan University campus on Nov 19, 2017.

The contest is held on Chenggong campus of Yunnan University, drawing the participation of more than 700 students from 12 universities and colleges of Yunnan. They merged sign language with performing forms of street dance, prose poem and drama, conveying their blessings and best wishes for people in need.

Yunnan University has been working hard in promoting sign language for decades and has hosted several contests.
