Purpose

IBM funded the "IBM Scholarship for Excellent Chinese Students" in Yunnan University to inspire students' pursuit for innovation. 

Selection Scope

Outstanding full-time students majoring computer science, software, telecom and administration and other relative courses.

Eligibility

1. Applicants should be patriotic, have a good character, and have no disciplinary violation record.

2. Applicants should be studious and have achieved excellent grades in computer science. Students who have attended IBM product and technical training and have got its authentication certification or course-completion certificate will be prioritized.

3. Postgraduates who have participated in projects or research on IBM's products or techniques will be prioritized.

4. Students who have stood out in technology races organized by IBM, students who have participated in IBM's programs such as "Extreme Blue" and those who have given an excellent performance during their  internship in IBM will be prioritized.

5. On equal conditions, undergraduates and postgraduates graduating  in 2008 will be prioritized.
