Purpose

The scholarship is set to encourage the graduate students in Yunnan University engage in academic researches, advocate creativeness, independence, and scientificity of the academic research achievements, promoting rigorous and pure research environment, and cultivating talents for Yunnan province.

Selection Scope

Applicants eligible for the scholarship must be full-time graduates and doctoral candidates specializing in Humanities and Social Sciences and relevant majors in Yunnan University.

Eligibility

1. Full time graduates and doctoral candidates specializing in liberal arts and related majors for one year or more in Yunnan University are eligible to apply.

2. Applicants should be patriotic, and active in supporting the reform and opening-up policy. Their behaviors should be civilized, they should comply with the national law and regulations and school rules, show respect to teachers, have unity with classmates, and be concerned about the collective and study hard.

3. The academic achievements should be completed during school periods, and published in academic journals or official presses. In principle, the applicant should be the author who independently accomplished the paper. If not, the applicants must be the first author or the second author (supervisors are the first author)

4. The academic achievements provided for application must be true and effective, and the application qualification will be cancelled if there areany fraud materials.

Application Time

Applications should be submitted in November every year.

Scholarship Quotas

Six students will be selected at each session.

Procedure

1. Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements must accurately fill out and provide an application form for graduate scholarship of Yunnan University, and relevant achievements and personal information materials.

2. In the light of the requirements of the evaluation office, the schools submit the selected applications to the Zhang Wenxun Scholarship evaluation office of Yunnan University after initial review; later the office submits the applications to the evaluation committee.

3. The Zhang Wenxun Scholarship evaluation committee will select the applicants, and then publicize the list of applicants for seven days.
