Purpose

In order to bring more education opportunities to poor student in Yunnan University and improve their lives and study, the Hong Kong Fu Hui Charity Foundation has established the US Chao T.F. Scholarship in the university in 2009. Students are encouraged to study hard and play an important role in China's development and construction.

Eligibility

1. Must love the motherland and the people.

2. Must abide by the Constitution and laws and abide by the rules of the university.

3. Must be honest and trustworthy, and of good moral character.

4. Must  study hard, be positive, love the collective, respect teachers and unite schoolmates.

5. Freshmen with good academic performance in high school and from family struggling financially;

Sophomores, juniors and seniors: in principle, GPA above 80 and no retaken courses;

Students with difficult family finances are given priority on an equal basis.

6. No violation of regulations

Application Time

First ten days of every September

Scholarship Amount

Freshman & sophomore: 3,000 yuan ($451.96) each

Junior & senior：2,000 yuan each

Scholarship Quotas

40 students in total

Ten students from each grade

Procedure

1. Voluntary application.

2.School will review the materials and make recommendations to the university's accreditation committee after publicizing the applicant list and receiving no objection.

3.Preliminary assessment by the university's accreditation committee which then makes recommendations to Hong Kong Fu Hui Charity Foundation.

4. The final list will be made by Hong Kong Fu Hui Charity Foundation.
