Grants of Wu Daguan Education Fund
Purpose
The Daguan Education Fund, which was named after Wu Daguan, an American Chinese philanthropist, provides 160,000 yuan ($24,140) every year to support students (excluding students from the departments of history, biology, mathematics, physics and chemistry) who are excellent in character and academic study and are from low-income families.
Selection Scope
Excellent students with financial difficulties (excluding students from the departments of history, biology, mathematics, physics and chemistry)
Eligibility
1. Applicants should be member of low-income families. The poverty standard shall be judged according to the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education, the Provincial Education Commission and the university.
2. Applicants should love the motherland and the people and aspire to serve the people and make contribution to the country.
3. Applicants should have moral integrity, abide by all the laws and regulations of China, and observe the university’s discipline and rules in exemplary fashion. They shall also respect teachers, unite schoolmates and love the collective.
4. The exam scores of specialized courses shall be no less than 80.
5. Applicants shall consciously perform physical exercise and be in good health.
