YNU supports researches on university-enterprise cooperation

The research branch of China Association of Higher Education featuring educational innovation and university-enterprise cooperation was set up in Nanjing, Jiangsu province on Nov 2.

The research branch consists of colleges, universities, advanced enterprises, and related researchers. The research branch aims to deepen cooperation between universities and enterprises, promote overall higher education quality and cultivate talents with innovative spirits and practical abilities.

Up to now, the research branch has 223 member units including 151 universities and 72 enterprises, such as Baidu, Huawei and NetEase.

The Yunnan University was selected as a council member of the research branch and Wang Jianhua, deputy president of the university, was selected as a member on the board.

The research brand will act as a new platform for the university to accelerate its education in regard to innovation and entrepreneurship.

Du Yubo, president of the China Association of Higher Education, hopes that the new branch can boost university-enterprise cooperation on talent cultivation to realize resource sharing.

Du said that the branch will also act as a think tank to actively cooperate with major decisions made by the Ministry of Education and local governments and promote the close partnership of colleges and enterprises.
