On Oct 28, the School of Chemical Science and Technology of Yunnan University held a reunion for Class 1997 of the Department of Chemistry in celebration of their 20 years' acquaintance.

Leaders and teachers that attended the activity included: the vice-president of Yunnan University Ding Zhongtao, secretary of the Party committee of the School of Chemical Science and Technology Xiong Jie, dean of the School of Chemical Science and Technology Cao Qiu'e, deputy Party secretary of the School of Chemical Science and Technology Liu Shixi and the head teachers of Class 1997 Mu Liqun and Wang lin, etc. This reunion was presided over by Hong Tao, the previous monitor of Class 1997 of Chemistry.

Hong Tao introduces the graduates to the leaders and teachers and recalls their wonderful days in Yunnan University.

The graduates take turns to give a brief introduction to their jobs and experiences after graduation and express their deep gratitude to their alma mater.

Teachers listen attentively as the graduates speak of their life experiences.

Vice-president Ding Zhongtao extended a warm welcome to the present students on behalf of the university and affirmed the contributions they had made in their positions. He encouraged the students to scale new heights in their career on the precondition of taking care of themselves. Professor Ding wished all students to make efforts towards the future development of the School of Chemical Science and Technology and Yunnan University. 

Deputy Party secretary Liu Shixi gave an account of the current situations of the school on distribution of subjects, teaching staff, students enrollment and teaching, and sincerely hoped that the graduates could spare some time to come back and communicate with them.

At the end of the reunion, monitor Hong Tao represented all graduates of Class 1997 and thanked the teachers' expectations and blessings. He promised that they would make persistent efforts towards working for the benefit of society and contribute to the construction of a "Double-First Class" university of their alma mater.
